Cameron Jibril Thomaz (born September 8, 1987), better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American hip-hop recording artist, record producer, actor and musician. Khalifa was born in Minot, North Dakota. Then relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with his family during his childhood. He began his journey, in the music industry by rapping and recording during his high school years. Eventually, he ventured into establishing his record label called K.I.N.G. After deciding to leave college in 2007.

History
After releasing his very first mixtape – Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania – in 2005, Wiz Khalifa found his musical career really taking off. The project received a good deal of local attention, and it helped him land his first studio album: Show and Prove (2006). That led to a deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2007. Khalifa later left the label.
Then in 2010, after a few mixtapes, his hometown shout-out ‘Black and Yellow’, praising the Pittsburgh Steelers, became a monster hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Besides performing, Wiz Khalifa has also retained his status as an actor, appearing as a main character in films such as Mac & Devin Go to High School (2012) alongside the rapper and fellow marijuana advocate Snoop Dogg. He is also a businessman, having a marijuana products line called Khalifa Kush, as well as other endorsements.
